Die Krabbelkiste ist ein einfaches Spielgerät, das zur natürlichen Bewegungsentwicklung von Kleinkindern beitragen kann. Raumlage-Erfahrungen und verschiedene Bewegungsformen können ohne Gefährdung ausprobiert werden.
In die Kiste hineingelegte Gegenstände (z.B. Kochlöffel, Deckel, Kastanien) ermutigen das Kind, die Kiste neu zu erkunden. Ein zusätzliches Anbauteil erleichtert das hinauf krabbeln, dient aber gleichzeitig als Rutsche oder Rampe für Bälle, Kugeln oder Autos.
