Der Nationalismus feiert ein spektakuläres Comeback. Stammesdenken, Partikularismus und Lokalpatriotismus werden über das gesamte politische Spektrum hinweg bereitwillig angenommen. Während die Ordnung, die nach dem Kalten Krieg etabliert wurde, zerbröckelt, erscheint die Nation als Zufluchtsort. Doch sie bleibt eine Illusion, eine «vorgestellte Gemeinschaft », wie es Benedict Anderson ausdrückte. Horror Patriae, die 2024er-Ausgabe des steirischen herbst, setzte sich mit nostalgischen und imaginären Konstruktionen von Nation auseinander und stellte ihnen vernachlässigte und verschwiegene Geschichten von seltsamen Begegnungen, Hybriden und glücklichen Vermischungen gegenüber. In einer Kombination aus Essays und Gesprächen untersucht der Reader des Festivals die neuen Nationalismen und wie man ihnen widerstehen kann.Ekaterina Degot (1958, Moskau) ist Kunsthistorikerin, Forscherin und Kuratorin. Von 2014 bis 2017 war sie künstlerische Leiterin der Akademie der Künste der Welt, Köln. Seit 2018 ist sie Intendantin und Chefkuratorin des steirischen herbst.
David Riff (1975, London) ist Autor, Übersetzer, Künstler, Kurator und ehemaliges Mitglied des Künstlerkollektivs Chto Delat. Seit 2018 ist er Kurator des steirischen herbst.

This was horribly made and a nightmare to put together. You have to basically bend the bars to get the coverings attached. The sizes don't match. The stickers that label the parts are impossible to remove and if you do get them off theres a lot of residue left behind. On top of that once it was put together I noticed theres a big dirty foot print on it which is definitely not mine.

You have to add weight to it

It does its job and it was easy to put together but it's a little on the flimsy side and it will easily be knocked down. So you're going to have to figure out a way to make the legs heavier? I used cinder blocks, single cinder blocks and it works just fine. Just know that it will knock over super easy

The snap to put them together.
