Über Bio-Leinen:

Das verwendete Leinen kommt aus kontrolliert biologischem Anbau (kbA). Da Leinen aus Flachs gewonnen wird, einer Pflanze, die wenig Wasser und keine Pestizide benötigt, ist Bio-Leinen besonders nachhaltig. Es ist atmungsaktiv, feuchtigkeitsregulierend und besonders angenehm auf der Haut, was es ideal für den Sommer macht. Zudem ist Leinen sehr strapazierfähig und langlebig, sodass Kleidungsstücke aus Bio-Leinen eine lange Lebensdauer haben. Das Material ist zudem biologisch abbaubar und trägt somit zur Reduktion von Textilabfällen bei. Beim Anbau von Bio-Leinen werden ausschließlich natürliche Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel verwendet, deshalb wird auf schädliche Pestizide und Herbizide komplett verzichtet.

Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) ist der weltweit führende Zertifizierungsstandard für Bio-Textilien, der sowohl ökologische als auch soziale Kriterien berücksichtigt. GOTS umfasst jeden Schritt innerhalb des Herstellungsprozesses – von der Faser bis zum fertigen Textil.
