Der Fontalloro ist ein klassischer Ausdruck der Sangiovese Rebsorte, die mit Liebe von einem der besten Weingüter der Toskana erzeugt wird. Die für die Zusammensetzung dieses Weines verwendeten Trauben stammen von dem Weinberg des Weingutes, das an der Grenze der Chianti Classico und Chianti Colli Senesi Appellation liegt. Während die Chianti Classico Weinberge auf den am höchsten liegenden Grundstücken des Weingutes Felsina liegen, sind die in der Colli Senesi Appellation niedriger gelegen und haben eine andere Seite der Sangiovese Traube zu bieten. Nachdem die Trauben im Herbst von Hand geerntet werden, wird der Wein in Edelstahlbehältern gegoren und dann für bis zu 22 Monate in neuen und zweiten gebrauchten französischen Eichenfässern gereift. Dann wird die endgültige Mischung zusammengestellt und der Wein wird vor dem Verkauf für weitere 12 Monate in der Flasche gereift. Das Ergebnis ist ein faszinierend komplexer Sangiovese, der mit Noten von getrockneten mediterranen Kräutern, Tabak, schwarzer Johannisbeere und Erde öffnet. Der erste Schluck bringt milde Tannine, eine feste Struktur und intensive dunkle Kirsch-, Süßholz- und Oreganoaromen zum Vorschein, die lange auf dem Gaumen verweilen. Dank der ausgleichenden Säure, des kräftigen Geschmacksprofils und der hervorragenden Struktur ist dieser Wein für eine längere Reifung im Weinkeller während der nächsten zehn Jahre ein Wunschkandidat.Shipping Notes

I Smell Like a Gentleman Who Owns a Fireplace

The fragrance is warm, woody, and slightly sweet...that low amber note that smells expensive without trying to smell expensive, which, as we all know, is the actual expensive smell. My wife walked past me twenty minutes post-shower and said, unprompted, "You smell really good." I nodded like I had planned this.
The lather is genuinely rich; squeeze a modest amount and it blooms into a thick, creamy foam that covers everything efficiently. The texture is silky rather than watery, which matters more than people admit. Watery body washes feel like rinsing off with slightly scented regret. This one feels intentional. It cleans, and your skin actually feels clean afterward, not just rinsed. And the moisturizing? I wasn't expecting it. No greasy film, no lotion-begging dry patches by midday. Just quietly softer skin that doesn't make a big announcement about it.
Now, my honest gripe: the scent longevity has a ceiling. By mid-afternoon you're back to neutral. That's the gap between four stars and five for me. For daily freshness and an incredible morning window of smelling genuinely great, it absolutely delivers...but it won't carry you to bedtime.

Lathers great for a small amount! A fair price for the amount and rich content. I just bought, used and love it. Definitely will purchase again. I love the sophisticated yet sensible smell doesn't overpower. In my perception it is a unisex scent as I am a woman and bought for myself.
