Er gilt als einer der Wegbereiter des Prêt-à-porter und brachte elegante Alltagsmode auf die Straße. 1998 wurde die Marke vom langjährigen Lizenznehmer Miltenberger Otto Aulbach GmbH übernommen, der den Hauptsitz nach Deutschland verlegte, während das Designbüro in Paris blieb.
