Alle SELVE-Funkmotore (SEL Plus-RC und SE Pro-RC) und -Funkprotokolle (commeo, iveo und intronic) werden unterstützt. Bei der Inbetriebnahme von SELVE Home 3 ganz bequem über QR-Code auf der Rückseite des Gerätes und Bluetooth, der Wechsel in den Access-Point des WLAN entfällt komplett.
Novum an SELVE Home 3 ist die Matter-Kompatibilität der kleinen, schwarzen Box: Der neue Home Server lässt sich somit jetzt auch extern ansteuern. Das gilt für alle eingelernten commeo- und Homematic IP-Geräte, aber auch für die Vorgänger-Funksysteme von SELVE – iveo und intronic werden ebenso unterstützt. Durch den Verbindungsstandard können zum Beispiel Sprachsteuerungen wie Alexa oder Siri ganz einfach über die Einbindung des Servers in ein Matter-Netzwerk realisiert werden, das Einrichten einer Cloud ist dafür nicht mehr notwendig. Gleiches gilt für alle weiteren Sprachassistenten, die Matter-kompatibel sind.
