Ziel ist es, innerhalb von 45 Sekunden möglichst viele der 10 vorgegebenen richtigen Antworten zu einem Oberbegriff zu nennen. Das Spiel fördert schnelles Denken, lautes Raten und Teamarbeit und ist ideal für gesellige Spieleabende mit Freunden oder Familie.

Die Spieler teilen sich in zwei Gruppen auf, die abwechselnd raten und kontrollieren. Ein Spieler der Kontrollgruppe zieht eine Karte mit einem Oberbegriff, der vorgelesen wird. Das Rateteam entscheidet innerhalb von 20 Sekunden, ob es die Karte spielen möchte oder einen Joker-Chip einsetzt. Beim Spielen wird die Sanduhr umgedreht und das Team versucht, die versteckten Antworten zu finden. Jede korrekte Antwort bringt einen Punkt, außerdem gibt es Bonuspunkte durch Würfeln. Das Spiel endet, sobald ein Team 60 Punkte erreicht hat oder das Spielfeldziel erreicht ist.

Outburst enthält einen Kartenleser, 243 Karten, sechs Joker-Chips, eine Sanduhr, einen 10-seitigen Würfel sowie ein doppelseitiges Spielbrett und Wertungssteine. Es ist in verschiedenen Versionen erschienen, die 2016er Ausgabe ist eine beliebte Neuauflage des klassischen Kommunikationsspiels von Hasbro.

After six months of chewing and chasing and playing with a Belgian Malinois, the two that I’ve gotten out are still in great condition. The bright color makes them easier to find, so none have been permanently lost yet. They are bouncier and a little bit lighter weight compared to the Kong balls of the same size, which I honestly appreciate because my maligator likes to shoot them at my feet. So far the material seems high quality and I feel safe letting the dog chew on it for hours on end. The 8 pack was cheaper than 2 Kong balls. A great deal for a great product!!
