Seine Arbeitsweise könnte man am ehesten mit »funky Minimal« bezeichnen: In den frühen 1980er-Jahren immer wieder den Künstlern des »Neo-Geo« zugeordnet, entzieht sich Gerwald Rockenschaub (* 1952) inzwischen längst dieser Etikettierung. Aus einem abstrakt-minimalistischen Rahmen heraus hat er mittlerweile eine innovative Palette an neuen Werken entwickelt. Inspirationsquellen für seine oft raumgreifenden, farbleuchtenden Arbeiten findet Rockenschaub sowohl bei den Positionen der Moderne, abstrakten Konzepten, der Pop-Art, der Minimal Art, in der Alltagskultur und nicht zuletzt in der Techno- und Elektroszene, der er bisweilen noch heute als DJ verbunden ist. Nice wire. Comes inside a plastic bag. Wire is soft and flexible. Worked as exactly needed for my boat wiring. It was easy to cut and crimp connectors on. It has a thick layer of insulation around the wire which keeps it from getting damaged.
