Debaser ist einer der bekanntesten Songs der amerikanischen Alternative-Rock-Band Pixies. Sänger Charles Michael Kittridge Thompson IV., der den Künstlernamen Black Francis trägt, schrieb den Song, nachdem er den surrealistischen Film „Un Chien Andalou“ von Luis Buñuel und Salvador Dalí ansah, auf Deutsch „Ein andalusischer Hund“. Der Stummfilm von 1929 hat keine Handlung im herkömmlichen Sinne und springt von einem Zeitpunkt zum anderen.

Debaser von D.S. & Durga ist ein Duft mit einer bedeutend klareren Handlung. Seine Anfangsszene wurde in sattem Grün gemalt, mit spritziger Bergamotte und einer saftigen Birne. In der Besetzung schreitet die Iris voran, exotische Feige und Kokosmilch erwecken das olfaktorische Drehbuch zum Leben. Die Schlussszene zeigt ein lebendiges Panorama aus Hölzern, Tonkabohne und Moos.

Some prayers in this book could make some people uncomfortable like those that mention "healing from this spirit of death" when the person might not be feeling like they're dying. e.g., the prayer for healing of basal cell carcinoma. For those who may not be aware, the vast majority of basal cell carcinomas (basal cell skin cancer) does not lead to death. According to the Cleveland Clinic, "The prognosis for people diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is excellent. BCC will rarely spread to other areas of your body and cause harm." However, they also point out that "If you don’t receive treatment for basal cell carcinoma, the skin cancer can slowly grow in size and invade deeper tissues like muscle and bone and cartilage." So although a BCC shouldn't be ignored, I think that praying for healing "from this spirit of death" may scare some people.
