Das Westin W3 C&R Foldable & Floating Landing Net Pike XXL ist ein extra großer Kescher, der speziell für das Deadbait-Angeln entwickelt wurde. Egal wie groß der Hecht ist, in diesen Kescher passt er hinein. Das geht dank der geräumigen Dimensionen von 107 x 75 x 75 cm schnell und sicher. Das Netz vom Kescher ist aus knotenlosen Mesh und gummiert. Das schont die Schleimhäute der Fische und lässt sich darüber hinaus einfach reinigen. Die große Maschenweite reduziert den Wasserwiderstand, was die Handhabung des Netzes deutlich vereinfacht. 

Schwimmende Konstruktion mit moderater Transportlänge

Das Westin W3 C&R Foldable & Floating Landing Net Pike XXL hat eine schwimmende Konstruktion mit Schaumstoff. Sehr praktisch, wenn man den Kescher schon mal positionieren will und den Hecht noch im Drill hat. Dank des 1,80 m langen, 2-teiligen Carbon-Kescherstabs erreicht man den Hecht ohne Probleme und kann ihn zügig keschern. Im Transport ist die Teilung des Stabes sehr praktisch und reduziert die Transportlänge auf moderate 110 cm. Das passt in jede Rutentasche. Darüber hinaus ist der Kescherstab mit einem gummierten Griff versehen, was für sehr viel Grip sorgt, selbst wenn die Hände nass sind. Die Schwachstelle von vielen Keschern ist die Verbindung zwischen Kescherarmen und Kescherstab. Westin hat dem W3 C&R Foldable & Floating Landing Net Pike XXL einen sehr starken Metallblock spendiert, der für sehr viel Halt sorgt. Insgesamt ist das Design des Keschers als leicht zu bezeichnen. Das Einzige, was schwer ist, ist der Meterhecht in den Maschen.

I appreciate that it helps to organize the chaos of information, but I just used the template verbatim with my manager and it did not go very well. He said this linear approach does not work anymore with high-level corporate audiences. They want to cut right to the chase and start to dig into the deep details. This layout with simple images, even if you just pull away the map and anchor slides, makes the storytelling too much like a story, not giving enough credit to the speed at which certain audiences can and do process data on a slide. It was an interesting exercise and I still think this linear layout works in some cases. Just not if you are trying to communicate business case or other C-suite type of information.

Too many screenshot, not detail explain enough, like a lab manual than a book

This book is approximately 270 pages long, but around 200 pages are comprised of screenshots, including IDA Pro screenshots, Virustotal result screens, lists of function names, and lists of DLL file names. This book primarily shows you how to use the tools, which are illustrated mainly through screenshots of the tools' screens and results. This is a well-structured lab manual that guides you through all the necessary screens and steps to locate the flag. However, there are too many screenshots, and the concept is not explained in detail. It is expected that you will have a basic understanding to follow the lab manual. And this is not colour printing, and the photo was resized, making it a bit hard to read the screenshot details. If you are at the GREM level, you may already be familiar with using the tools. Unless you want a quick refresher on your lab skills.
