Favorite Things: Peaceful reef tanks with plenty of rockwork for cover and open water for “flashing” displays. Does best with frequent small feedings (mysis, brine, finely chopped seafood, small pellets). Males will flare and intensify color when comfortable and when other wrasses are nearby. A tight lid is important—strong jumper.
Best Buddies: Great with clownfish, gobies, tangs, fairy wrasses, and other peaceful reef fish. Avoid aggressive wrasses/dottybacks and don’t keep multiple males in smaller systems.
