The latest update to the venerable AT33 Series – the first extensive overhaul in years – brings new warmth and fullness to your favorite music. Incorporating technological and material improvements, including our first use of die-cast zinc at the base of the cartridge to ward off unwanted resonance and improve expressiveness in the mid to low frequencies, the AT33x Series cartridges let you hear the finest details across the audio spectrum.

The AT33xEN is an excellent all-around cartridge choice, delivering warm, full-bodied audio reproduction. It features a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical nude stylus attached to a hard duralumin tapered pipe cantilever to provide excellent tracking of the record groove with enhanced high-frequency control. Our newly developed suspension mechanism uses piano wire for even better tracking accuracy, lowering the dynamic compliance slightly for more substantial audio, particularly in the mid-low range.

The cartridge’s composite body, made of die-cast zinc, aluminum, and high-rigidity polymer, reduces and disperses resonance across the entire body, resulting in balanced, natural sound reproduction that doesn’t favor particular frequencies. The AT33x dual moving coil cartridge design features independent left- and right-channel PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting) coils for outstanding channel separation and pure, smooth signal transmission. A neodymium magnet and permendur yoke create a strong magnetic field that maximizes power generation efficiency, resulting in responsive, high-resolution analog playback.

Like all AT33x Series cartridges, the body of the AT33xEN includes threaded holes for easy mounting (just two screws required). These threaded holes are especially useful when mounting the cartridge to an integrated tonearm.

Please Note: AT33xEN’s stylus assembly is not field-replaceable, but Audio-Technica offers a fee-based Moving Coil Exchange Program to properly service your moving coil cartridge.

budget friendly for dogs who lose balls in the creek

Not great quality, but works for our needs. I have a ball crazy lab. She loves for me to throw a ball using the Chuck-it Ball Launcher. We do this in our wide back yard that butts up to a creek. At some point during her run and fetch, she will take a quick detour right into the creek. She nearly always still has the ball, but once in awhile it is lost. Not wanting to chance it on more pricy (and more durable) balls, I get these or something like these. They dont cost much, yet they do the job. I' not upset if one gets sacrificed to the creek waters and mud. Since the balls end up getting wet often, they will kinda fall apart over time (chasing, kicking, throwing, retrieving, dog saliva etc). But she doesn't chew on them. Glad she doesnt as tennis balls arent good on teeth, but even if it was ok, the balls probably would be breached easily. SO get these if you are like me and want a ball that does the job but arent a total financial loss if get lost or destroyed. For indoor play we and by we I mean our 3 dogs demand that we use the rubbery max glow chuck-it ball. And will ignore this style ball. Yes, I am well trained. lol
