Votive candles should always be burned in a holder just wide enough to fit the candle. Using a holder that is too wide allows beeswax to spread and go unburned, shortening the candle’s overall life.
When the candle reaches approximately ½ inch remaining, allow it to burn until it goes out on its own. This helps reduce leftover wax and maximizes total burn time.
If any wax remains, clean the holder by filling it with boiling water. The wax will melt, rise to the surface, and harden for easy removal.
