The artist has worked boldly in his medium of oil, confidently executing expressive brushstrokes, and has used the impasto technique to create a wonderful textural quality. Each colour has also been thoughtfully selected and layered to give rise to this beautiful composition.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary linen-lined frame with an inner wooden window. The painting has some minor craquelure present but this is usual for such thickly painted canvasses, and the paint layer is stable overall.
