When the active door is opened, the lever can be moved to the "up" position, retracting the bolt and allowing the inactive leaf to be opened. When the inactive leaf is closed, the lever can be moved to the "down" position, pushing the bolt into the strike and securely locking the inactive leaf. Specifications Finish:

- Simplified installation for metal frames; round bolt head requires only a punched hole. Strike use is optional. A special guide design and flat-sided bolt tip prevent bolt rotation.
- Requires a mortised groove in the door 5-1/2" long x 7/8" deep
- Unlock easily by flipping the lever

Disappointing

Overall the watch is ok. The price doesn't reflect the quality of the watch. This should be a $20.00 dollar watch. I purchased this partially because I thought the number would glow at night, they do not. The hour and minute hand barely glow at night. I decided to just keep it, rather than returning it, and now I wish I had just returned it. After 2 months, I got a scratch on the watch, what looks like cheap, plastic. I can't say I would recommend it for that reason, I'm a average field watch wearer, which means they have to be somewhat durable. This was disappointing.
