Since the existence of humanity, abnormal behaviors have been present in individuals, Jesse M. Cooper states in the introduction to his study of the different types of psychological treatments available to depressed patients. In a formal, systematic analysis, Cooper presents a series of studies, outcomes, and conclusions, combining the psychologists comments and his own commentary to take the results to a different level and apply them to other situations.

In combination with these studies, the author supplies statistics and history related to the study of depression and other mental disorders and the causes and symptoms involved. For those unfamiliar with them, terms are clearly defined in a glossary in the back of the book. Cooper's Depression: How Psychology and Other Treatments Help People Recover, as an informative introduction to the treatment of depression, provides a wealth of factual data and remarks that may help us understand this complicated subject.

As a trans woman it is pretty good
Format: Kindle
I greatly enjoyed the book and cried at a few parts. Parts I did not expect to resonate with me. Honestly I would love to see more in this series, especially explore the what it could be like to be a trans werewolf.

Powerful!
Format: Hardcover
The Girl in the Walls is mysterious, raw, and beautifully written. If you have any connection to autism, particularly how autism affects families, you will know how powerful this story truly is. Understanding how the autistic brain is designed, the beauty, the pain, and the family dynamics and genetics involved is so needed. I believe this story has the power to bring healing and understanding to it’s readers. Meg Eden Kuyatt is such a gifted writer. Her words brought tears, awe, and hope. Her poetic style and usage of font, space, and text is unique and inspiring. Meg’s artistic ability shines through on the page in a way that I’ve never seen until Good Different, and I think this book is even more captivating artistically.
