The Industrial Athletic Power Bag is predominantly used for strength and endurance training. As opposed to the sandbag, the load is conforming, rigid, and predictable. The polyurethane outer is highly durable, ventilated, and comes with a variety of handles for grip options galore. For these reasons it is the preferred piece of equipment for boot camps, use in commercial facilities, and in areas where changing sandbag inner pouches could cause inconvenient spillages.
Power Bag training is designed primarily for hardcore metabolic conditioning work. They provide a variable grip, fixed load that is an important part of a progression to a barbell, kettlebell and dumbbell training routine. They are very forgiving when dumped on the shoulder or caught on the arms (or head!) during long-duration sets in which fatigue can interfere with form. The workouts and exercises achievable with the power bag are vast, limited only really by imagination.
