What does the Bible teach about raising children? Training your Children to Turn Out Right equips Christian parents with biblical principles for character development and spiritual growth to help their children turn out right.

Widely acclaimed and distributed, Training your Children to Turn Out Right is now in its fourth printing. Many Christian leaders have commented that it is the best book they have read on the subject. In keeping with Dr. Sorenson’s style, this book is easy to read, yet packed with in-depth Scriptural principles and illustrated with poignant illustrations from real life.

“In talking with Christian parents, there is often the sense that bringing up a child in today’s world is a big gamble. maybe they will turn out right and maybe they will not. And sometimes there is the idea that, ‘Well, the devil got them, and there was nothing we could do.’ Both of those ideas are categorically wrong.”

Training Your Children to Turn Out Right shows parents just how much they can do to make sure their children will continue living right as they become teens and young adults. The Bible, the Blueprint for all our lives, is truly the “instruction manual” so many parents wish they had for raising their children. Dr. Sorenson makes these biblical principles easy to understand with many interesting illustrations.

Reader’s Responses

“Please read every page of this book carefully. Reread and diligently study the principles from God’s Word that are contained in this volume.”
(from Forward to this book)
Dr. Carl D. Herbster, Pastor, Tri-City Ministries
President, American Association of Christian Schools

“This book is filled with the Word of God. Pastor Sorenson tells us what the Bible says, helps us to understand it and encourages us to obey it. And then he encourages us further by reminding us that ‘The principles of God’s Word are the complete answer to the needs of the training of our children.’
Every Christian parent in America should read this book.”
Dr. Bill Rice III, Evangelist
President of the Bill Rice Ranch

“Following close by biblical principles, this author has presented an excellent guide to the rearing of children.
Read this treatise carefully with an open mind. Share it with your children that they, also, may understand God’s purpose for their lives and the joy of obedience.”
Dr. and Mrs. Myron Cedarholm,
Chancellor, Maranatha Baptist Bible College

“It is with much enthusiasm that I recommend Pastor Dave Sorenson’s latest book Training Your Children To Turn Out Right.
He very skillfully weaves in many practical illustrations and ideas throughout the entire book that come not only from having read the Bible through 137 times, but from the experiences he has had in his ministries that span a quarter of a century.
Dr. Ed Johnson,
President, Minnesota Association of Christian Schools

“Twice Dave Sorenson hit the nail on the head. First, in describing the plight that many christian parents find themselves in. Second, in prescribing a plan of action that is clear, biblical, and proven.
The author, by his own proven example, shows how to apply the scriptural teachings of righteousness, discipline, consistency, and godly separation to the rearing of children to become teens and young adults that love, obey, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Dr. Dell Johnson,
Dean, Pensacola Theological Seminary

Excellent mineral sunscreen with minimal white cast.
Style: SPF 50
This is one of the healthier sunscreens I’ve found so far. You’re not likely going to find a mineral sunscreen that doesn’t leave some white cast. However, this one rubs in pretty good with minimal cast. You can dab on and rub in fairly easily… as long as you don’t use too much the white cast should be minimal. I am not sure how well this would work on darker skin tones. My arms are a medium skin tone… my legs are more of a light-medium tone. I prefer mineral sunscreens, and this is the best one I found so far and compatible to Supergoop mineral play. If you liked that one, you would likely enjoy this Coola one too.

Would not recommend
Style: SPF 50
I literally never write reviews but felt compelled to write one for this sunscreen because I was very caught off guard by all the positive reviews. This sunscreen leaves the most insane white sheen that never soaks in and gets on EVERYTHING. I put this on and drove to the beach and had sunscreen on my car seat, the steering wheel, the center console, the door, EVERYWHERE! It took forever to clean up and was such a hassle and that was after having let the sunscreen soak into my skin for an hour. Also the sunscreen is really thick and difficult to spread and makes you look ghostly white. Plus, the sunscreen has a really odd odor that reminded me of play dough? That might not be a negative thing for everyone but I found it unpleasant. There are definitely better mineral sunscreens out there. For the price I expected a much better product.

Sticky and white
Style: SPF 50
The sunscreen has a very sticky and thick texture. It will keep you from getting sunburnt, but it will also leave you with a white color.

Good sunscreen
Style: SPF 50
Super good coverage and it lasts a long time in the sun and even through water activities. The only negative is the white cast. Not as bad as others but just be aware it doesn’t fully rub in.

Great sunscreen & works for kids - even used in resorts!
Style: SPF 50
Terrific! I don’t feel it is as good as chemical ones but my favorite non-chemical one. Used on a long vacation and it did the job! Also didn’t cause pimples like other thick versions of this.
