New album “Out of Scale” by Annie Taylor - Never stop dreaming  The songs simply had to come out. Annie Taylor recorded their third album between the rock band's US tour and concerts in Europe. It's called “Out of Scale” and is characterized by intense emotions, chaotic relationships, and big dreams.   On “Out of Scale,” Annie Taylor has further developed their sound. The band's first album, “Sweet Mortality,” brought them international fame seemingly out of nowhere. They recorded their second album, “Inner Smile,” in England; it was rougher, more honest. And now they have sharpened their style once again. Each song sounds different, yet inevitably follows on from the next. Distorted guitar and empowering grunge rage are followed by repetitive psychedelia – and then a thoughtful song, almost quiet: somewhere between Courtney Barnett and Wet Leg.  Doing your own thing, even if it's not the direct route, “Out of Scale,” outside the conformist standards—that's the message the album conveys and which is already embedded in the band's name. Annie Edson Taylor was a teacher from the USA who led a turbulent life and rubbed people up the wrong way. In 1901, she became the first person to plunge down Niagara Falls in a barrel. She was only injured on the back of her head.  “Out of Scale” motivates us to never stop dreaming. To constantly reinvent ourselves. And to resist stagnation.

Outstanding book
Format: Hardcover
Yes, Aristophanes was a genius in using satire to sting the then politicians. Oh! How we could we use his abilities today in the US! I highly recommend this (and other similar) books to anyone who likes or loves to read excellent books with morals. With this book I now have all of Aristophanes's plays to read over and over to my grandchildren, who love them. Thank you.

This salty 'Frogs' has got legs
Format: Hardcover
I had to read 'Frogs' for school, all the translations I'd found were awful, then I stumbled upon Mr. Henderson's translation and hit the jackpot. No Dryasdust prissiness here, the language is earthy and accessible, and the scholarly footnotes are also very well done.

An excellent translation of Aristophanes' finest works
Format: Hardcover
This book, the fourth in Dr. Henderson's fine series of parallel translations, is perhaps the best of the series, containing as it does the comic masterpiece "Frogs," in my opinion the finest of Aristophanes' works. Henderson's translations are crisp, clear, and hilarious, and his extensive use of vulgarity is always textually and philologically sound (as a few comparisons of Liddell-Scott and the OED will surely reveal). In short, it is the definitive edition of Aristophanes' works, and the only translation accurate enough to be worth having on your bookshelf (and believe me, I've read quite a few).
