The Vaughn Velocity VX1 Pro Carbon Goalie Pants are for the elite level goalie who wants a lightweight pant that offers good protection. Using a nylon external construction wrapped around HD foam padding with Vaughn’s Pure Carbon reinforcement in key areas providing superior impact resistance. The VX1 Pro Carbon pant uses an Aero-Spacer mesh lining giving goalies a lightweight, comfortable lining with superior ventilation. A flared waist allows for goalies to wear their chest protector tucked or untucked while a more anatomical, tapered fit through the thigh gives better mobility while not sacrificing coverage. The VX1 Pro Carbon pant features a wider hip and groin offering more room for a bigger double cup style jock. Molded hip padding with inner cushion pads increase the hip protection while offering improved comfort. The groin uses a large flexible segmented pad that provides good protection while offering unmatched flexibility. A dual belt system gives goalies the option to use the padded internal belt to tighten the pants down to the hips while the external belt is used to set the height at which the pants sit. Finally, Vaughn uses their classic Thigh Cradle Technology to aid in thigh stability.

External Material

The VX1 Pro Carbon pants use a durable nylon external construction paired with HD foam inserts. As the name implies, layers of Pure Carbon are used on the thigh, groin and tailbone to provide increased protection. An Aero-Spacer mesh lining provides good comfort and ventilation.

Fit

A flared waist combined with a taller front section and a wider hip section means an increase in volume allowing for more room for bigger double cup style jocks. A tapered fit through the thigh allows for more mobility and less interference with pads and knee pads.

Waist Closure & Internal Belt

A dual belt design allows the internal belt to snug the pants around the hips while the external belt helps keep them secure sitting at a comfortable spot on the waist. The internal belt is padded for added comfort when tightly secured.

Hip Protection

The hips of the VX1 Pro Carbon utilize a molded hip padding with added cushion pads in order to offer superior comfort and protection. A wider fit through the hips gives goalies more room leading to a better fit and more coverage.

Groin Protection

A large, flexible segmented groin pad provides good protection while remaining flexible and mobile. Volume was added to the front of the groin in order to offer increased compatibility with larger double cups.

Thigh Protection

A rounded, anatomical design allows the VX1 Pro Carbon pant to sit tighter to the leg allowing for increased mobility while not sacrificing coverage. The VX1 Pro Carbon pants use Vaughn’s Thigh Cradle Technology to provide superior thigh stability. A slimmer, more rounded thigh design allows for better mobility and less interference.
