Bloody Turkey Sandwiches is another ultra-rarity by British psychedelic folk band Pig Rider; only six copies were originally privately pressed by custom label Deroy Sound Service in 1974. The music here is much in the same vein as their famous Heterophonies album (SOMM 024LP), but even more crazed. Some of the tracks bring to mind the more experimental side of The Olivia Tremor Control/Black Swan Network or even They Might Be Giants - but 20 years before those bands existed. Electric acid folk with stoned homemade atmosphere, lo-fi sound, bizarre and funny lyrics, effects, backward bits, surreal humor, psychedelic skiffle, old-timey music hall parodies, brilliant folk-rock-pop, and titles like Interdrive Overstella, Be Glad for the Song Has an Ending, Pus In Our Time, and Have You Seen Your Neighbour in the Bath? Recommended if you like The Incredible String Band, The Bonzo Dog Band, Syd Barrett, R. Stevie Moore... First ever reissue. Includes insert with photos and lyrics. Master tape sound. We are past due for Palestinian American heroines!
Format: Hardcover
Such an engaging read for this adult. How many books for older children have a Palestinian American main character as engaging as Ida? Not since Amani in "The Shepherd's Granddaughter" by Anne Laurel Carter (2010) or Liyana in "Habibi" by Naomi Shihab Nye (1997). We need diverse books and MORE of them. They are good food for discussion.

The Struggle to Belong

Ida in the Middle is a must-read for anyone who cares about justice for Palestinians in Palestine, in the USA, and everywhere else. Author Nora Lester Murad gives us a protagonist struggling to find her place in a world that often denies her dignity. Her struggle is everyone’s struggle, especially in these turbulent times.

Best LitRPG
Format: Kindle
This is absolutely the best litRPG I've ever read as well as the best self-published series. Between the character progression, the amazing sense of humor, and the relatability of the characters, this is my top recommendation for anyone interested in litRPGs. I fell in love so much that I had to sign up for the Patreon account so I could get my fix regularly (5 new chapters each week). I even managed to get my roommate hooked on the audiobooks.
If you're looking for a fun story with loveable characters, surprising insights, and epic fights, this is for you.

What the??!!!!??

This book"kills" it!!! It kept making me laugh out loud and waking up my wife... NOT COOL!! She needs her sleep...and I can't really tell her what is so darn funny because She Hasn't read any of this series and wont get the joke. It also brought tears to my eyes reminding me of actual life events I've lived through. Loss,honor, loyalty, friendship, dangerous situations... Amazing stuff! I can't stop laughing and reading. Awesome...
