Quick User Guide
- Fix a 10 cm long loop of thread (20 cm total) onto button.
- The curved side of the button facing the scale, attach the loop of thread securely to the eye-hook at base of scale.
- Adjust the zero position with the tare screw, holding the scale horizontally.
- Move the white drag pointer towards zero.
- The patient places the button in front of teeth and closes lips.
- Shortly before measurement the patient should be requested to close lips as tightly as possible.
- Holding the bow, the therapist steadily pulls the scale away from the patient's mouth until the button pops out. Maintain the same pulling speed for every measurement.
- Read and record the maximum resistance shown by position of the white drag pointer.
- Repeat the procedure 3 times to determine average measurement. The progress of muscular training can thus be periodically checked.
Regular Cleaning:
- Wipe with moist paper towel.
- Avoid chemicals.
- Permitted sterilisation procedures for PESOLA spring scales:
Chemically treat with acetylene for 15 hours.
