The first section of this book is scripture readings covering Christian doctrines and Christian duties. The second section is sermon outlines of revival, pastoral, and doctrinal messages. This book helps us to understand the preaching content of the pioneer ministers of the Church of God reformation movement. This book preceded Byrum's CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY published in 1925. He was obviously eager to give the movement a book of systematic theology. SCRIPTURE READINGS AND SERMON OUTLINES helped to fill that need until his more extensive work of CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY was complete.
