The 36 mm stainless steel Oyster case is fitted with the sharp 18k white gold fluted bezel, which remains beautifully defined and gives the watch its unmistakable vintage Datejust character. The original Rolex screw-down crown and spotless plexiglass crystal with Cyclops magnifier complete the classic configuration.

The original blue tritium dial is the highlight of this example, remaining beautifully preserved with rich colour and excellent originality. The steel hands are non-luminous and were most likely replaced during a Rolex service in the past. Likewise, the caseback is stamped Ref. 16000, suggesting it too may have been exchanged during a period service—something regularly encountered on Rolex watches maintained by the brand.
