Crystal Healing Mandala Session - Individual

Similar to our Wheel of the Year workshops on the same topic, this session is on a private one-to-one basis. These can be held in-person or online; please make sure to pick the correct option. If choosing the online option, please note that you will have to provide all of the resources yourself.

The session is a safe space for you to explore your inner self. As you work on your mandala, you'll tap into your creativity and intuition. It allows you to express yourself in a non-judgmental environment and connect with your emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Through this practice, you can gain insight into yourself and your innermost desires and needs which, often, we suppress and ignore.

The mandala you create is a visual representation of your intentions and desires. It serves as a reminder of the beauty and power within you; it can be like holding up a mirror to yourself and really seeing what is required staring back at you.

If you are new to this practice, don't worry. Arte will guide you through the process, and you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences if you're happy to. We encourage you to approach this session with an open mind and heart, and allow yourself to be present in the moment.

Often, people choose to take inspiration from outside in nature and bring that inside to work into their mandala if that is what they are called to do at the time. As such, prior to the session, please feel free to gather some natural resources such as leaves; feathers; stones etc and bring those along with you as you can combine these items with drawings, doodles, paint, crystals, string etc into your very own unique circles or mandalas which are representations of your inner selves; your own inner circles.

Please do not say “Oh I’d love to, but I’m not very creative!” “I can’t draw!” – this isn’t about that, at all! Our mandala is not meant to be a beautiful, creative piece or aesthetically pleasing artwork. Of course, the outcome may be something beautiful, but that’s not necessarily the goal. It is just meant to be true and a reflection of your inner season at that moment in time.

Once the mandalas have been created, we’ll take a moment to pause and you’ll be given the opportunity to journal on what has come up for you during the session and be given prompts on things to ponder further on.

You will then be guided through the analysis of your mandala; here we often find that some people experience all sorts of emotions and can end up in tears as their mandala speaks to them and reflects back to them what they need to hear and see. Sometimes it can be euphoric, too as it's a confirmation that your inner and outer selves are aligned and flowing. Healing can sometimes be uncomfortable, it can sometimes hurt a lot - it is also not linear. We're here to do the work regardless of that though, are you?

Time allowing, we'll finish off with a guided meditation before you go on your way.

Provided at the in-person session (not provided online except for the last point being provided virtually!):

  • A journal
  • Paper
  • Pens, pencils, pastels, paints to use on the day
  • String and ribbon to use on the day
  • Crystals to use on the day (you are able to choose to buy them separately if you want to, subject to availability)
  • Company; a warm smile, a hand to hold, a shoulder to lean on and a safe space for sharing if you wish to do so

These sessions are also run separately as small group workshops and you can even commission your own group session, too, just drop us an e-mail and we can work out the details [email protected]

We look forward to supporting you.

More about Mandalas and Mandala Therapies

The word mandala means "circle" in Sanskrit. Mandalas are found in various places all over the world such as India, Tibet and China and play an important role for Hindus and Buddhists. A circle is considered a sacred form as it has no beginning nor end.

Carl Jung (a Swiss psychoanalyst, psychiatrist, and founder of analytical psychology) stated that mandalas were the “archetypes of wholeness”. Jung observed that:

  • When making a mandala, it was a representation of that person as a whole in that moment
  • The process of making a mandala presented the opportunity for inner understanding and wholeness
  • Making mandalas had a calming and focusing effect

Mandala therapy is now a widely used tool amongst psychologists and art therapists.

FAQ’s

Q: How long is the session?

A: Typically these sessions run up to around 2 hours. If you're on a tight schedule, just let Arte know and we'll keep an eye on the time.

Q: Do I need to bring anything with me?

A: No, just your lovely self, but please do feel free to bring natural resources (leaves, se shells etc) along with you if you wish to do so.

Q: Do I need to be good at art or be creative?

A: Absolutely not! This isn’t about creating an art piece; it’s about creating something real. Of course, the outcome may be something beautiful, but that’s not necessarily the goal.

Q: Will I get to keep my mandala?

A: You may keep the paper it was on, but as it's a 3D piece that is not glued down, it will be taken apart again once you have sat with it, contemplated its wisdom and analysed it. For Buddhists, mandalas are traditionally destroyed upon completion to serve as a reminder of the impermanence of life.

Q: Can I bring along my child?

A: As this is a private one-to-one session, if you would like to bring along your child then that is fine to do so. Babes in arms are fine, however, please note that for crawlers and pre-schoolers, there are many small items which are could be easy to choke on and there will not be a specific activity to keep them entertained.

Comfortable and Easy to Wear Daily
Size: 2 Little Kid, Color: Navy/Blue
My daughter has been wearing these navy/blue shoes since the weather has been less rainy and more sunny. They are great for outdoor play, especially on days when it's warm outside. The knit mesh upper keeps her feet from overheating, and the cushioned insole feels supportive without being stiff. At size 2, the fit is accurate and the width runs a bit roomy, which gave her some growing room without feeling loose. The slip-on design with elastic laces and pull tabs is a real plus. She can get them on and off without any help, which she loves. The shoes are light enough that she barely notices them during long active days. My one small complaint is that the sole feels more like firm foam than rubber, so they can be a little slippery on smooth indoor floors. For the price, these deliver solid everyday value. They look good, hold up well to regular use, and my daughter reaches for them first most mornings. Pros: - Breathable mesh keeps feet cool - Easy slip-on design with elastic laces and pull tabs - Lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear - Accurate sizing with a roomy width - Durable for the price Cons: - Sole can be slippery on hard smooth surfaces - Limited outsole grip compared to rubber-soled shoes

Great kids' shoe — easy on, comfy all day
Size: 3 Little Kid, Color: Pink/Lavender
My kid has been wearing these for a few weeks now and I'm genuinely impressed with how well they've held up. The knit mesh upper keeps feet cool and comfortable during long days at school and outdoor play, and the cushioned EVA midsole does a great job absorbing impact. What really won me over is the slip-on design with elasticated laces and dual pull tabs — my child can put them on and take them off completely independently, which is a huge win. The fit is snug but not tight, and they run a bit roomy in width, which is great for kids with wider feet or those who need a little growing room. At $32, the quality feels solid for the price. Lightweight, breathable, and easy to wear — these check all the boxes for an everyday kids' shoe.
