"Ned Collette's last album, the 2LP set Old Chestnut (FTR 362-2LP), was hailed as a masterpiece by 'most everyone who heard it. Part of this was due to the darkly delicate lyrics and vocals of Ned himself (akin to the work of Graeme Jefferies, ca. This Kind of Punishment), but much was also due to the elegant lyricism of the music, which had a fantastic prog/folk heft as impossible to peg as it was to ignore. With this new LP, Collette (an Australian ex-pat, now based in Berlin) goes all-instrumental, along with his long-time drumming partner, Joe Talia (fellow ex-pat, now in Tokyo), and composer James Rushford (also from Australia) on viola. The two, side-long tracks are a departure from the pop formatting of Old Chestnut, but an expansion of that album's instrumental passages, playing with a syncretic fusion of several genres, while remaining beholden to none. Talia - who has been working with Collette for over a decade, but is perhaps best known in the U.S. as Jim O'Rourke's drummer of choice - uses synths and tapes, apart from his deft touch with the tubs. Rushford's work on viola is as idiosyncratic as you'd expect, given the evidence of his recordings with Ora Clementi, Food Court, and others. Rushford does opt for more standard tactics in spots, but his approach to long tones is not always clearly wrought by human hands. Collette's playing on guitar, synth, bells and drum machine combines a clear affinity with the trope of both 'new music,' and also with the artfully wrought dream-hybrids of Old Chestnut's musical textures. This means that while the music on Afternoon-Dusk may not be as immediately engaging, it also scratches some of the same itches as Old Chestnut and will definitely reward listeners who spend time with it's soaring sonic inventions. Glowy SPF skin tint, Great skin-like coverage

I’ve tried a lot of skin tints and this one actually surprised me. The Colorescience Flex Shield gives that “your skin but healthier” look without feeling heavy or greasy. I love that it starts white and adjusts to your skin tone — it blends in really naturally and evens everything out without looking makeup-y.
The finish is glowy but still skin-like, and knowing I’m getting SPF protection at the same time makes it perfect for everyday wear. On busy days this has honestly replaced my foundation.

OBSESSED - My New Go-To SPF ✨

I don’t say this lightly - I’m OBSESSED. The Colorescience Glow SPF is hands down the best sunscreen I’ve ever used.
This formula makes my skin look unreal - plumped, radiant, and healthy from morning to night. It gives that lit-from-within glow without ever looking greasy or heavy.
I’m super sensitive to sunscreens (most of them irritate my skin and eyes), but this one is perfection. No reactions, no discomfort- just smooth, glowing skin all day.
I also ordered the Flex and can’t wait to try it next.

Best Sunblock ever!!

I kept seeing this all over my social media, so I decided to do some research before purchasing. I was pleased at how high the reviews were. I decided to purchase and I’m totally obsessed! I’ve been using for a few months now and I don’t even wear any foundation anymore. This has literally replaced it. I love how it glides on like butter, and how It’s so smooth and light. I get so many compliments on my face. Best sunblock ever!! I’m forever a customer! Highly recommended!!

Bronze and Matte are brown girl friendly
Color: Bronze, Color: Bronze
TLDR:
I got bronze and matte formulas and I have oily skin. I’m very happy with these. Bronze is a perfect match until it oxidizes so I mix it with medium for the perfect shade. Bronze will be flexible across a wide range of skin tones. Matte formula is perfect on its own, more like a satin matte finish. I think matte has less pigment than bronze. Both are easy to apply and reapply, blends nicely, zero white cast- no Casper.
What I liked:
I really like the finish on these. I have oily skin and these work well for me. They don’t burn my eyes. Bronze gives a little glow while matte tones down the shine but it’s not too matte, more like satin matte. I can wear matte on its own but I have to mix bronze with medium because it oxidizes after a few minutes.
These are both great options for daily wear.
What could be better:
I wouldn’t change anything about the matte formula. But it can get thick after several reapplications. I wish the bronze formula didn’t oxidize. While it doesn’t oxidize every time, you just never know when it will. But mixing it with medium helps to keep it chill.
Skin tone:
For reference, I usually have to mix shades to get my perfect match. But my skin tone tans very easily and is lighter in winter, darker in summer. So I mix medium with bronze or tan. Some of my foundation colors if it helps you: Armani 7.8, Hourglass 11, EL DW 4N2, MUFE 3N42, NARS Aruba, Dior 4N, Haus Labs 330.
Would I recommend:
Yes! This is best for brown girls who want a tinted sunscreen without a white cast. And it’s even for lighter people who want to bronze up their skin.

Definitely Recommend

I love the GLOW of this product and that you get some SPF protection. I have used it for years and put on with a serum to even it out and a blending sponge. I would definitely recommend and have bought it as a gift for my sisters
