"Will always hold an honorable place for bibliophiles." -- The University of Chicago PressOne of the earliest treatises on the value of preserving neglected manuscripts, building a library, and book collecting, Richard De Bury's The Philobiblon was written in 1345 and circulated widely in manuscript form for over a century. The first printed edition appeared in Cologne in 1473, and several others soon followed as the invention of the printing press spread throughout the late Medieval world. The chapter titles of this legendary work reflect its nature, combining the author's love for and commitment to the importance of books and the knowledge they contain with thoughts on collecting them, lending them, teaching with them, and simply enjoying them: "That the Treasure of Wisdom is chiefly contained in books," "What we are to think of the price in the buying of books," "Who ought to be special lovers of books," and "Of the manner of lending all our books to students." The Prologue ends with the following thought:
"And this treatise (divided into twenty chapters) will clear the love we have had for books from the charge of excess, will expound the purpose of our intense devotion, and will narrate more clearly than light all the circumstances of our undertaking. And because it principally treats of the love of books, we have chose after the fashion of the ancient Romans fondly to name it by a Greek word, Philobiblon."
This volume offers modern bibliophiles a splendid edition of one of the first books ever to study, define, and, above all, praise their passion: the all-encompassing love of books.

Simple Everyday Basic That Works Well – 5 Stars
Size: 500 Count (Pack of 1)
These are just good basic cotton swabs and honestly work just as well as more expensive brands I’ve bought before.
The tips stay together well and don’t feel super flimsy, and the big pack lasts forever. Simple everyday item but definitely worth buying again.

Value for money
Size: 500 Count (Pack of 1)
We reorder this item frequently. The cotton content is excellent and is thick. It doesn’t pull off easily. The quantity in the box is plenty to get our family of four through a month. If you have skin sensitivity, these are for you. We have sensitive skin in our family and have no concerns with this product. This product cleans well and the shape of the actual cotton tip holds well.

Repurchasing for sure
Color: Zero Pore Pads, Size: 70 Count (Pack of 1)
These toner pads have genuinely made my skin look smoother, brighter, and more refreshed. They’re super easy to use and feel really gentle while still giving noticeable results. My skin feels cleaner and softer after using them, and I’ve especially noticed improvement in texture and overall glow.
I also love that the pads are really saturated without dripping everywhere, and they don’t irritate my skin. They’ve become such an easy part of my routine, especially on days when I want my skin to look extra fresh and glowy. Definitely one of the better skincare purchases I’ve made lately.

medicube Dual-Textured Facial Pads for Exfoliation and Pore Care
Color: Zero Pore Pads, Size: 70 Count (Pack of 1)
If you’ve spent any time on skincare social media, you’ve likely seen these white tubs with bright blue lids. The Medicube Zero Pore Pad 2.0 is a cult-favorite K-Beauty staple designed for those who struggle with "strawberry nose," excess sebum, and texture. It isn't just a toner; it’s a mechanical and chemical exfoliant hybrid.
The Dual-Action Design
The "2.0" version features a pre-soaked, double-sided pad that serves two distinct purposes:
1. Embossed Side: Provides gentle physical exfoliation to lift away dead skin cells and debris.
2. Silky Side: Polishes the skin and hydrates, prepping the face for the rest of your routine.
The Pros: Why It’s a Bestseller
• Noticeable Texture Improvement: Within a week of consistent use, most users notice a significant reduction in "bumps" and a smoother surface for makeup application.
• Effective Sebum Control: It contains a "Pore Tightening Complex" (including lemongrass and mint peel) that helps keep midday oiliness at bay without stripping the skin bone-dry.
• Clean and Convenient: The tub comes with a secondary lid and tweezers, keeping the pads saturated and hygienic.
• The "Glow" Factor: Because it uses AHAs and BHAs (Salicylic Acid and Betaine Salicylate), it clears out the "gunk" inside pores, making them appear smaller and the skin look brighter.
The Cons: What to Watch For
• Fragrance: These pads have a distinct, slightly medicinal/citrus scent. While refreshing to some, it may be irritating if you have a high sensitivity to added fragrance.
• Tingling Sensation: If your skin barrier is compromised or you are very sensitive, you might feel a slight sting. It’s a potent exfoliant, not a soothing toner.
• Price Point: Compared to basic drugstore toners, Medicube sits at a premium. You are paying for the convenience of the pre-soaked formulation and the specific patented ingredients.
