• Glossy polyurethane topcoat dope for wood, coated papers and canvases, resistant to the effects of glow fuel and gasoline. It stays elastic and provides high resistance to weathering and mechanical damage (impact, scratches, etc.). For brush or roller application, suitable for model aircraft and ships.

  Use: dilute the dope as needed with the KAVAN Thinner POLY; apply to the covering or wooden parts with a soft flat brush or roller. One coat is usually sufficient; the surface dries after 1–2h, always allow the paint to dry for at least 24 hours.

  Remove excess undried dope: cloth or paper towel dampened with KAVAN Thinner POLY.

  Diluting the dope: the dope is supplied in concentrated form, depending on the need and method of application it can be diluted with KAVAN Thinner POLY in any ratio to achieve the optimum consistency for application. At higher dilutions, it may be necessary to apply multiple coats to ensure reliable protection of the material.

  Suitable for: top coat glossy layer of varnished covering papers and canvases, impregnation of wooden parts of model aircraft and ships against moisture. Top Coat POLY can be safely applied to materials painted with KAVAN STANDARD, COLOR and CLASSIC series dopes, the last coat of which was not applied more than 24 hours ago. If the material has been painted with other coatings, we strongly recommend that compatibility with Top Coat POLY be tested outside the model beforehand.

  Not suitable for: materials not resistant to organic solvents (polystyrene foam, etc.).

  Mixing the dope: the dope cannot be mixed with other paints or dopes. Use only KAVAN Thinner POLY for thinning - due to the different compositions, it is not possible to use thinners of the KAVAN CLASSIC or STANDARD series.

  Weight gain: 10ml of undiluted dope adds about 4.3g to the weight of the model.

  Storage: in a tightly closed container, in a cool, dry and dark place (at 15°C to 25°C / 59 °F to 77 °F). Do not expose to temperatures below 5°C / 41°F and never to frost.

  Shelf life: under proper storage conditions, we guarantee a shelf life of 1 year in the original unopened packaging, while maintaining the above product properties.
