AMACO Velvet Underglaze | V-365 Slate

Slate is a dark, bluish-grey at cone 05 that darkens to a deep, slate shade when fired to cone 5 and transforms into a melancholic blue-green at cone 10. A clear glaze accentuates the colour of the underglaze significantly at any temperature.

AMACO Velvet Underglazes offer saturated colour, excellent coverage, and reliable results. They're as easy to use for beginners and students as they are for professional ceramicists and artists working with clay. Velvets fire true-to-colour from cone 05/06 and most can be fired up to cone 10.

• Strong, saturated colour (three coats suggested for full coverage)
• Firing range: Cone 05 – Cone 10
• Suitable for application on greenware/unfired clay or bisque
• Two beautiful finishes depending on glaze cover:
  • A subtle textured velvet-matte surface when left unglazed
  • Intensified colour and a brilliant glassy finish under a clear glaze

• Suitable for spray application
