The Hondata Strain Gauge is a gearshift mounted strain gauge sensor and remote strain gauge amplifier, which signals the ECU to cut the engine when the gear lever is moved.  This enables very quick no lift shifts with dog engagement transmissions.

The Strain Gauge works by using a strain elements in the gear shift knob to measure the force on the knob, via accurately measuring the strain on an aluminum insert between the gear lever and gear knob.

The aluminum insert has two bonded Omega® strain gages which change electrical resistance very slightly when force is applied to the shift knob.  Due to magic the very slight difference in resistance gets converted by the Strain Amplifier to a voltage which can be used by the ECU to determine when you are applying force to the gear knob to start to shift gears.

The Strain Amplifier also has a off/on output so that the ECU does not need to compare the voltage with pre-set parameters in order to determine if a gear shift is taking place.  The Strain Amplifier has two adjustment screws, one for forward force and one for rearward force, so that the shift force can be adjusted quickly with reprogramming the ECU.

  • Adjustable cut threshold for both forward and backward gear lever movement.
  • Simple 'no laptop' field adjustment with a screwdriver.
  • Analog (voltage) output proportional to gear level force.
  • Trigger output for ECU engine cut.
  • Precision internal amplifier for accurate force determination.
  • High quality Omega® linear strain gages.
  • Temperature compensation for consistent operation.

Very thin & no support
Size: Queen (U.S. Standard)
I was thinking these pillows were going to be kind of firm with the way they are described and the picture but they are very thin and when I laid down on it, it was like whatever is in the pillow just instantly moved to each side of my head. Definitely not for me and my neck issues.

Back sleeper here
Size: Standard
So since they were listed as down alternative, I was interested to see if they had that artificially puffy feel to them. They do get puffed up really well after a day. And the fabric is cool and comfortable. I do feel like these have good quality stuffing and the cover feels nice. I'm a back sleeper and it's just the right amount of bulk under my neck. I usually bunch the pillow up a little bit there so there's a little more pressure under my neck but with these it just felt good to lay on it without having to bunch it up in any special way. So I would definitely recommend them. So far I'm really liking having these pillows.

Nice and Fluffy
Size: Standard
These "down alternative" pillows have been a winner for me. Came two to a package and once they have a couple of days our of the vacuum packaging are nice and fluffy with no noticable odor. Just the right amount of "spring" to them for my taste. Also don't overheat my face/neck as traditional down pillows sometimes have.
