As the first monocular to feature Pulsar's largest sensor, 1024 × 768 at 12µm, it delivers the most detailed imagery we’ve seen from a handheld device. It also offers a greatly increased detection range of 2,300m. With a smooth digital zoom and focus rings, users can easily adjust the magnification with one hand, ranging from 2.5x to 20x. The 50mm lens ensures a wide field of view of 14°, providing clear visuals even when tracking moving animals. In practise the working detection range is likely to be lower in most circumstances. Larger mammals in favourable weather typically fall within the stated ranges, but this will be shorter for smaller species or in more cluttered environments.

The Telos has a number of customisable features. The attachable hand strap can be positioned on either side of the device, enhancing comfort for left and right handed users. Additionally, the user interface layout and button functions can be customised based on user preferences.

The Telos XL50 features instant start-up, allowing quick field use, and includes a Picture in Picture function that enables zooming in on a secondary image while maintaining the overall field of view. It offers 8 thermal colour palettes for image customisation and can record video at a resolution of 1024x768, saving it to an expanded internal 64GB memory. Additionally, the Telos is equipped with a WiFi module that allows live streaming from the camera and adjustment of settings through the free Stream Vision 2 app.

Designed to withstand various environmental conditions, the Telos XL50 can operate in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 40°C. It also holds an IPX7 waterproof rating, ensuring protection against water immersion. The Telos features a rechargeable LPS 7i battery with up to 7 hours of battery life and wireless charging support.

The Telos is backed by a three-year warranty, while the rechargeable battery is covered for one year.
