The natural citrine stones are cut in a marquis shape with gorgeous faceting that really catches the light.  
They are securely wire wrapped with 14kt gold filled wire and attached to hand-formed ear wires, also in 14kt gold fill.  The leaf shaped frames are sterling silver.

WHAT IS GOLD FILLED? 
14kt gold filled is a layer of solid 14kt gold (gold alloy) bonded to a jeweler's brass core.
Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating - Gold-filled jewelry has 100x more gold alloy than gold plated and because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold-filled jewelry lasts longer and stands up to wear and tear better than gold plated. All it would take is one small scratch on a gold-plated piece to expose the jeweler’s brass underneath.
