Six Questions Your Burgerim Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this franchise unit financial model using deep research into the slider-based fast-casual sector. Key assumptions, including year-one revenue of $1.8M and a 6% royalty structure, are pre-populated and fully editable to fit your specific Austin or urban market. This is the blueprint for your bank meeting.

What is the profitability trajectory?

The unit hits profitability almost immediately, with a break-even date of January 2026. By year two, EBITDA is projected to reach $670,000 as catering orders scale from $100k to $150k annually. Early profitability is the ultimate goal.

Profitability Levers

  • Reduce food waste to hit 10.5% COGS
  • Scale catering to 15% of total mix
  • Maintain 1.0 FTE for store management
[dynamic_pic9]

How much capital is required and how is it allocated?

You need a total initial investment of approximately $690,000 to launch this unit. This covers the $70,000 franchise fee, $280,000 for leasehold improvements, and $160,000 for kitchen equipment like grills and fryers. Know where every dollar goes before you sign.

Major Capital Uses

  • Leasehold Improvements: $280,000
  • Kitchen Equipment: $160,000
  • Initial Franchise Fee: $70,000
  • Furniture and Seating: $50,000
[dynamic_pic10]

What is the return on investment?

The model shows a 2-year payback period and an internal rate of return (IRR) of 7.05%. With a return on equity (ROE) of 4.01, the franchise profitability analysis suggests steady long-term gains as revenue climbs toward $3.3M. Cash is king, but ROI is the scoreboard.

Key Return Metrics

  • Internal Rate of Return: 7.05%
  • Payback Period: 2 Years
  • Year 5 EBITDA: $1,396,000
[dynamic_pic11]

What is the break-even point?

The monthly break-even is achieved in the first month of trading, provided you hit the $1.8M annual revenue target. The primary driver is volume, as you must cover $22,100 in monthly fixed costs including $16,000 for prime location rent. Volume cures almost every operational sin.

Break-Even Strategies

  • Optimize 2.3% payment processing fees
  • Control $2,200 monthly utility spend
  • Boost high-margin beverage attachments
[dynamic_pic12]

What is the cash runway and lowest cash point?

The lowest cash point is $681,000 in March 2026, which is three months into operations. You need to manage your franchise investment capital carefully during this ramp-up to ensure payroll for your 11+ staff members is always met. Watch your cash like a hawk during month three.

Cash Flow Actions

  • Negotiate vendor payment terms
  • Phase $40,000 signage CAPEX
  • Manage opening inventory levels
[dynamic_pic13]

How do scenarios change the outcome?

Switching to a high-growth scenario could push year-one EBITDA well past $542,000 if local marketing execution drives higher traffic. Conversely, a low scenario might stretch the 2-year payback if delivery platform commissions eat more than the projected 2.5%. Plan for the worst, but execute for the best.

High-Case Execution

  • Aggressive B2B catering outreach
  • Maximize crew productivity per FTE
  • Hyper-local social media marketing

Powerful little ball
The ball is well designed, made, and is durable. It is functional and easy to turn on. It has a good amount of power and movement to capture my pets attention. It moves easily on wooden, laminated, and carpeted floors. The material is hard which makes it not break down easily when bitten or chewed. The colors are appealing and attractive.

Too big and heavy for my dog. Spins more often than it rolls. Good material.
The first time we used this, which honestly took a bit too long to figure out, our dog was excited and immediately kicked it under the couch. I guess that makes sense, you really have no idea where this thing is going to end up. I did fish it out after a bit, and it needed a charge. After reassembly, the ball would only spin in circles until it was hit. That's probably just as well, as it was still engaging and less likely to roll away. The issue is this is large and heavy, larger than a tennis ball and heavier than it looks. That's fine for big dogs, but it isn't great for small dogs like Boston terriers or frenchies, and definitely useless for toy breeds. My dog was able to lift it with the module removed, and that's how he prefers it now. The outer TPU layer is strong and grippy, so it's not a total waste. It looks a little rougher than the pictures appear but my dog doesn't mind. I get it... I"ve worked with TPU before and it's a temperamental material. The price is quite low, but not if you aren't getting use out of the mechanical aspect. This is a good value for the right dog: a medium dog with a snout - maybe a sheltie; definitely a golden. For others, a smaller version would be nice.

Hands free toy!!!
This is one of my dogs absolute favorite toys. I have a German shepherd husky mix that is notorious for destroying his toys. This one has stood the test !!! Have had it for about a month and we have played rough with it. The battery lasts forever. It’s such an easy toy too. Stuck under the couch?? It’ll eventually bounce its way out. Dog nudging and you need some space, pop this this on and it’s like a magic trick lol. My dog gets so excited when I pick it up because he knows I’ll turn it on. Sometimes, he will bounce it hoping it will turn on lol. Stronglyyyyyyy recommend.

Might be good for some playful dogs
My dog likes to play fetch with a rubber ball and figured I would give this one a tray as it moves on its own. It is a little on the larger size, so this is likely going to be for a large dog. My dog is about 30 pounds and it was too large of a ball for his mouth. You can open up the ball and set it to bounce on its own by hitting a switch. It will bounce all around and is very quiet. However, my dog is a little nervous and he freaked out at it moving. I ended up giving it to a friend and she said her dog loves chasing around her house and outside. It is a great idea and good for some dogs, but not if your dog is a little skittish.

Fun dog toy!
First, I was impressedby the quality of this ball. It seems quite well made. The adult twists it open, it's tight enough I know my dog cannot open it. Note - there are warnings it is dangerous for a dog to get to the inside. That noted, I would always supervise. There are two choices of modes, one more intense. Hold to activate your choice and tightly put back together. It worked right away, vibrating and shaking. The humans greatly enjoyed, especially a child. My dog, a bit fearful but curious. So we will slowly introduce to her. The is a USB cord included for charging, which is nice. Overall a fun item!
