There were two labels in Spain during the '70s which were essential to understand the birth of the rumba-flamenco-pop genre: Belter and Discophon. Thanks to the work of adventurous in-house producers and sound engineers like Josep Llobell, Joan Barcons and Lauren Postigo, funk, rock, disco and jazz arrangements were incorporated to recordings of folkloric flamenco singers and rumba bands. The result was explosive and the Spanish market was flooded with "gipsy-rock" or "rumba pop" 45s and LPs, some of them highly sought-after today by international DJs looking for exotic beats. Baila Mi Rumba compiles gypsy rumba-funk & flamenco pop courtesy of Trigal, the grooviest and funkiest band from the Spanish '70s rumba scene. 13 tracks taken from their sought after LPs and 45s, originally released on the legendary Belter label from 1976-77. Heavy drums, percussion, deep bass, wah-wah, electric guitar, horns, funk/Blaxploitation touches, and gypsy female vocals. I had the worst nightmare using the APLB Tranexamic Acid Niacinamide Lotion. I used this product consistently for about three weeks, hoping it would help with brightening and hyperpigmentation, but instead it completely damaged my skin barrier.
What started as mild irritation quickly turned into severe itching, redness, inflamed bumps, and intense skin sensitivity. Eventually, my skin developed dermatitis-like symptoms with painful inflammation, red rashes, and even slight bleeding in certain areas from constant irritation and scratching.
Instead of improving, this lotion made my skin look worse — angry, inflamed, textured, and extremely reactive. The itching was unbearable, and the red bumps took a long time to calm down.
If you have sensitive skin or are prone to eczema, contact dermatitis, or allergic reactions, please patch test very carefully before using this product. My experience was honestly terrible, and recovering my skin afterward took much longer than the three weeks I spent using it. (Still recovering after 2 months)
