Following the AIM-nominated deluxe career-spanning 22CD box set, Searching For The Spark, Steve Hillage is releasing nine previously unreleased tracks of his recordings during an a capella echo guitar jam session in addition to 5 tracks from the session previously only available in the box set. The recordings are part of a series of archived tapes liberated from deep storage by Hillage for the box set, and this tape was labelled 'Wata Trip! 1973'. It was recorded when Hillage was 21, living in the Gong communal house in Sens, France with Miquette Giraudy, as the band began to develop the music that would form the core of Gong's Angel's Egg. The tape contained 3 hours and 12 minutes of engaging sonic wonderment, full of gorgeous crackle and hum, utilising tape echo, fuzz and sometimes also Wem copycat with every single note, guitar body bang, buzz, harmonic and bit of audio echoing into infinity and beyond. It seemed to encapsulate a vibrant moment in Steve's life and was like an organic, fully formed, almost naturally occurring psychedelic ambient album. These selected recordings represent a bubbling, rich cauldron of motifs, sounds and themes within which can be recognised younger forms, glittering shards and even complete deep elements of future songs, some still years from conception. These are the preparatory sketches and watercolours, an appreciation of which can only enhance one's enjoyment of the of the completed 'masterwork', and which even have a beautiful coherent integrity of their own. This vinyl edition of The Golden Vibe is presented as a black double LP in a gatefold sleeve featuring liner notes from Jonny Greene

This is my second time purchasing these shelves. They are easy to set up, come with all the screws, brackets, and drywall anchors (if needed). I definitely love the quality, look and versatility. Being that my ceiling is slanted I couldn’t mount them from there but easily mount them to the surface beneath the shelving. My husband loved my idea and how they turned out! Highly recommend!

No Instructions - Easy to build and study

I ordered 3, and my wife loves the look of them. They seem to support a decent amount of weight. I supervised my 7 year old (55 lbs) as she scaled a single shelf bracket up the wall after it was mounted, without the planks.
You do need to have some amount of handiness to be looking at buying as it does not come assembled, and does not have the wood planks with it.
A little learning curve I had. Keep the rods only hand snug, not tight, snug, and then as you put it up to the wall adjust as needed to get the heights and widths right to the opposing shelf.
There is also only 8 pipe brackets to hold the shelves down (2 per shelf) and I did not realize this at first and assumed I had 16 (4 per shelf). I had to go back and fix.

Game changing storage!

I love the shelves. I got to use my own wood which was a reclaimed piece that I found and sanded and then stained. I'm so proud to see them on the shelves. It got so much clutter corralled from around the room and put in one place where it all looks good displayed together. The support pieces are very good quality and I found this to be very good value for the price. I'm very happy with this item.

Good all around, some imperfections on threads difficult to screw together

I received a complete product as advertised, it's a solid steel design with everything you need to mounted included. One small issue I encountered is that the pieces screw together but they wouldn't screw all the way it felt difficult and possibly if forced the steel might crack. Unfairly enough other pieces did completely screw in. So it's probably because of imperfections on the threads.

Build w/ a Friend, and BYOL (Bring Your Own Level)

Definitely a two-person job. Not because it's heavy, but a little awkward at first. I installed the first bracket, and my 12 yo assisted. Then, she hung the second bracket, and I assisted. Have a level handy. I didn't want to roll the dice and allow her to hang from the bracket, but it seems super-strong. We hung the brackets 32" apart, and 6" overhang, i.e. 48" x 12" laminate shelves. Gorgeous.
