Over three days, the village moves as one, dressed in its ancestral finest, performing rituals passed down through generations.

Amidst the solemn procession, a fleeting yet unforgettable presence—Ranu. Just two years old, wrapped in the woven threads of his ancestors, a miniature guardian of heritage. His sapuk, tied with the same reverence as the udeng worn in Bali, crowns his small head, a quiet reminder of cultural threads stretching across the archipelago. Wide, curious eyes scan the unfamiliar. A hesitant grip on his waist, unsure of his next step. Yet there he stands, in the heart of the ceremony, carrying its essence with the quiet confidence of those who have walked this path for centuries.
