"This album represents a particularly whacked-out session for the peripatetic Austinite Ralph White, who is renowned for many things. Not the least of which is the fact that he's one of the few men who Michael Hurley will join on tour. It's no small thing? Most of White's fantastic solo output makes use of his multi-instrumentalism, often with a focus on his violin or banjo playing. Here, however, Mr. White focuses exclusively on button accordion and a variety of songs that can be done in waltz-time, regardless of whether they were first planned as waltzes or not. He says that the concept first came to him when he was recording a waltz version of "Sweet Jane" for a Lou Reed tribute album. The impulse to continue creating in this vein seized him and he seized it back. The results are shockingly great. One is used to hearing such stuff done with thick English accents, bad teeth and a scholastic attitude. White's approach is rural, American and a bit strange. The overall feel is actually more like Hurley than anything else Ralph has done, even though the sonic similarities are vague at best. A very cool record by any standard. Lovely subtle shine, wonderful scent

LOVE this shimmer oil. Has a lovely subtle copper/rose gold when used lightly. The shimmer gets more pronounced the more you use, but never obnoxious. The oil absorbs well and fully on damp skin, but I usually use it before going out for the day on dry skin, and it works just as well. The nozzle produces a generous amount with each squirt and has yet to clog or stop up as with some shimmer oils. The oil leaves the skin moisturized and glowy. The shimmer does not rub off easily on clothing and other fabrics. The scent is just amazing. If you have the regular oil, this smells just as amazing. It’s hard to describe…a gorgeous floral smell, but not grandma’s lilly or lavender smell. Just sexy. If sexy and summer, and feminine had a smell, this would be it. Yummy and inherently woman. Get this oil for some shimmer and a splash of confidence.

I absolutely love the Saltair line of products!
Scent: Sandalwood
I used the body wash at a friend's house and fell in love, especially with the Santal Bloom scent! This body oil is just so amazing and feels so silky and soft. It's especially effective if you use it right out of the shower. It adds a beautiful glow and I even use a little in my hair. It's quite concentrated so a little goes a long way. I have even mixed it into my favorite coconut oil and it mixes beautifully. Don't sleep on this line!

Smells great
Scent: Golden Hour
Love this, my favorite scent from this line. Very subtle glitter so I still feel age appropriate. It’s an oil soy skin does feel oily for a little bit afterwards until it soaks in. It has lasted me quite awhile so I do feel it’s good value for the money. Have reordered a few times.

Great Glow and Scent, But Fades Quickly and Runs Out Fast
Scent: Vanilla
The Saltair Shimmering Body Oil in Salt Water Vanilla is a beautiful product.
The only 3 reasons I don’t give it 5 stars are because:
1. The shimmer is not very long-lasting. When I apply it before bed, most of the shimmer effect is completely gone and absorbed by my sheets by the morning. I assume pants and leggings would absorb it in the same way, but I’ve only ever worn shorts after applications during the day, and even then, the shimmer seems to fade after 4–6 hours.
2. I have to apply a lot of oil to achieve the amount of shimmer I desire. It averages about 20–25 pumps per use.
3. The 4-ounce bottle size, combined with needing a lot of product for each application, means I’m going to run out of it pretty quickly.
Here’s why I like this product:
1. The glow: If you’re looking for a subtle glow and a light shimmer effect, this oil is perfect for you; apply it before a night out, while wearing a swimsuit, or when going to the gym in your favorite workout set for a beautiful gleam.
2. The scent: It’s a divine, warm mix of sweet and spicy notes. It smells like vanilla, amber, and toasted marshmallow. It pairs really nicely with tropical, woodsy, sweet, or spicy perfumes—it’s very versatile.
3. Consistency and absorption: The oil absorbs nicely and has a light, runny consistency. Because it’s a dry oil, it isn’t too thick, nor does it leave a sticky feeling on the skin.
4. How my skin feels: I’ve used this oil 4 nights in a row, and every single morning I wake up, my skin feels so soft and smooth, with no residual stickiness or residue left behind.
