They are not the same as the standard size as they are flat, and no matter how much I tried to fluff them up, they fall flat in filling and firmness. After a few restless nights using my new king size pillows, I used the standard pillows I purchased in the past and there is definitely a difference. I see where there are different reviews/opinions on this, but this has been my experience. I will be complaining to Amazon, though not sure there is anything they can do since I used them.
