Hailed as a classic upon its first publication in 1934, The Valleys of the Assassins firmly established Freya Stark as one of her generation's most intrepid explorers. The book chronicles her travels into Luristan, the mountainous terrain nestled between Iraq and present-day Iran, often with only a single guide and on a shoestring budget. Stark writes engagingly of the nomadic peoples who inhabit the region's valleys and brings to life the stories of the ancient kingdoms of the Middle East, including that of the Lords of Alamut, a band of hashish-eating terrorists whose stronghold in the Elburz Mountains Stark was the first to document for the Royal Geographical Society. Her account is at once a highly readable travel narrative and a richly drawn, sympathetic portrait of a people told from their own compelling point of view. This edition includes a new Introduction by Jane Fletcher Geniesse, Stark's biographer.Binding Type: Paperback

Spot on!
Size: 16.5" Neck 32"-33" Sleeve, Color: Lemon Glaze
Fits really well. Not for fatties. Pale yellow is nice. Collar stays are sewn in and permanent.

Love these shirts
Size: 18.5" Neck 36"-37" Sleeve, Color: Persian Blue
Beautiful dark blue color. Soft and well made. Comes out of dryer with minimal wrinkles but not starched looking. A little bit of stretch to it. Does not have the neck extender button. It is a slimmer cut through the waistline for those with wider shoulder but not a bigger belly. It is lightweight especially for FL summers but not thin and see through. Great shirt for work.

Awesome.
Color: Silver Blue Brown
Loved it! I can hardly hear it run, its so quiet! It's very easy to read and looks quite classy. The leather strap has also held up very well to normal wear.

A Great Value for the Time
Color: Rose Gold Black
Beautiful watch that looks far more expensive than it is. The rose gold finish is very attractive, and the black faux leather band goes well with it. It tells time accurately. The only caveat is the date window which is so tiny that it's very difficult to read when not under direct light. I am very pleased with my purchase.
