The Digitech BT delivers real-time data via Haglöf Link app when used in Line Mode, streaming measurements like diameters, species codes and tree height directly to iOS or Android devices. For offline or backup work, Local Mode allows up to 50,000 data sets to be stored internally and later exported (via Bluetooth) in XML format for Excel or other GIS/data software. Its patented foldable jaws make transport easier without compromising reliability, while the rugged anodised aluminium scale (standard from ~320 mm / 12″ up to 1020 mm/40″ depending on model) resists wear and reflection in all lighting.

Measurement resolution in Line Mode reaches 0.1 mm (or 0.01 in), with ±1 mm accuracy. Local Mode resolution is coarser, but still highly usable in conditions where connectivity is limited. The user interface is simple: one button controls all functions, with short start-up time and intuitive feedback. Powered by a rechargeable 3.7 V Li-Ion battery (≈150 mAh), it runs reliably in temperatures between -20 °C and +45 °C, and its IP67 rating ensures protection against dust and heavy rain—ideal for Australian field conditions.
