A Canadian musician currently living in Berlin, Aidan Baker was first known as half of the prolific project Nadja, playing alongside Leah Buckareff. LP after LP and collaboration after collaboration (A Storm of Light, Atavist, Year of no Light....), Nadja never ceased to explore the different aspects of ambient, noise and drone music. Also a prolific solo composer, Aidan Baker is well-known by experimental and alternative music fans as much as for his solo albums including prestigious collaborations with notable artists(Tim Hecker, This quiet army, Noveller...) and well respected record labels (Important, Lattitudes, Gizeh...).Today, Mind Travels is very proud to present the first vinyl edition of one of his key records, a Sea Swells a Bit...., first released in 2006. Three long ambient titles that will likely make you shiver and lose your senses. A live version of the eponymous title is also added as a bonus. The artwork, again designed by Francis Meslet (Urbex), intensifies in the most admirable manner the depth of this dizzying music. "A collection with an explicit name, as our aim is make your mind traveling into various orbits, sometimes tortuous, sometimes more mediative, but always unexpected and surprising. The whole artworks of the collection are designed by the French photographer Francis Meslet.".

Great Historical, Nostalgic Read
Format: Paperback
If you're looking for an anthology of early Superman stories, this book will meet all your needs. It has full-color pictures, entire stories, and cover pages (even when Superman wasn't featured on the cover). If you're in the market for a historical, nostalgic, read: this is a good book. If you're in the market for great Superman stories, you might want to look elsewhere: these early, experimental tales are exciting, but the best of the character is yet to come. As is noted on the back, this rough-and-tough defender of the oppressed isn't the 'boy scout' Superman most of us know and love.

I hope DC comics sees this series through to the end
Format: Paperback
I've been looking for several years for a way to go back and read the original Superman comics without necessarily becoming a comic book collector. The goal of this series is to reprint every single Superman comic book story from 1938 to the present. I don't know when Volume 2 will come out, but I intent to collect all of them! I just hope that sales are sufficient for DC Comics to keep publishing these.
In terms of the content of the book, as other reviewers have already pointed out, Superman is quite different from the one we know today, both in terms of his powers and his sense of ethics. All of this adds to the sense that you're reading a bit of American cultural history.

Superman is really SUPER!
Format: Paperback
Fans of superheroes cannot do without this collection of the earliest stories of the Man of Tomorrow. Superman is the epitome of what followed in the era of early superheroes and laid the groundwork for comics even today, as well as radio, TV and movie versions.

Nice collection
Format: Paperback
This is completely worth the money and the time to read. It's like taking a time machine to before he was famous. Man, this is not like present day stories and art. To me this is a history book for every comic book fan. Much like the Bstman Chronicles.
