PRODUCTION & DESIGN

For those of you who have welcomed the Alexa Echo Dot into your home, why not give her a makeover? After all, she's there for you in your times of need. She'll order your groceries, turn off your lights, play your favorite tunes, and even tell you (cringeworthy) jokes.

To thank her, why not give her some love with a rustic, attractive Alexa Case. Wrapping snugly around the Dot, the elegant Alexa Case opens up at both the top and the bottom so as not to impede any of Alexa's listening or speaking abilities. Available in three colors, Bourbon Brown, Slate Blue and Charcoal Black, and handcrafted with durable, finely-stitched Full Grain Leather, this is the only way to add a new life to your thoughtful, caring Alexa.

Here's one for all you Star Trek fans, the developers of Alexa were actually inspired by the computer voice aboard the starship Enterprise, while Alexa's name is reminiscent of one of the wonders of the ancient world, the Library of Alexandria. Oh, by the way, there's something for all you Star Wars fans, too; you'll be pleasantly surprised when you tell the Echo Dot "Alexa, I am your father..."

A little bit about our product creation...

All of our products are diligently handmade by H&D's local artisans in La Antigua, Guatemala. The durable leather is subtly fire-branded with our signature mark, the Owl. In Guatemala, owls (or 'tecos') are a harbinger of good fortune, which is why we at Hide & Drink want to offer you a continuous source of positive energy and good luck in your home.

The leather we use, originating from our multi-generational family owned supplier, is nothing but Full Grain Leather, the best you can get when it comes to leather. This type of leather comes from the top layer of the hide, and contains all of the grain, hence its name. It's the best leather than you can buy and Hide & Drink is its biggest fan. You can stop looking now, you've found the cream of the crop.

The tanning process is something that we take pride in. Our rustic leather is created through removing the hair, extracting the moisture, taking out the oils and, of course, the natural preservatives. The leather is placed in a large container filled with new oils, coloring and preservatives, and there it takes on its new color and thus its new personality. The finishing process consists of pressing the leather with heated plates, hung up to dry and sprayed and finished with a sealer. Finally, it is pressed once more and then ready for its transformation, in which it is carefully handcrafted by the diligent locals of La Antigua, Guatemala, where our workshop is located.

High Transfer, Bright Colors & No Ghosting
Size: 8.5"*14", Color: 150 sheets, Size: 8.5"*14", Color: 150 sheets
This HTVRONT sublimation paper 8.5x14 inch has been excellent for my sublimation projects. The 120gsm weight feels sturdy and feeds smoothly through my inkjet printer without jams or curling. It holds ink well, which helps produce clean, sharp prints before pressing. The transfer results are impressive. Colors come out vibrant and true, with strong detail and no dull or faded areas. I’ve had very little ghosting, and designs transfer evenly onto shirts, mugs, and other sublimation blanks. The claimed high transfer rate really shows in the final results. I also like the larger 8.5x14 size, which gives extra space for bigger designs or multiple smaller prints on one sheet. The paper releases well during pressing, leaving minimal residue and clean edges. Pros: ✔ Bright, vibrant color transfer ✔ Minimal ghosting or smudging ✔ Smooth printer feeding ✔ Great for shirts, mugs, and hard blanks ✔ Good value for the sheet count Cons: – Must be used with sublimation ink – Requires correct heat press settings for best results Overall, this HTVRONT sublimation paper is a reliable choice for anyone doing sublimation printing who wants strong color transfer, crisp detail, and consistent results. Great for both beginners and small business use.

Thin but with extra step works great
Size: 8.5"*11", Color: 150 sheets
It sublimated great but it’s thinner than what I normally use so it take an extra step to not have over lapping but it’s cheaper and you get more so definitely worth the price

Works great as advertised
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
Working great so far! Enjoying starting doing sublimation work. A rookie a few weeks in and it's going well. Print quality is decent. Not having paper jam issues. Was easy to setup. I had to goto Epson and download a current print driver to get all the print properties and printer settings I needed. Was easy. After I installed the 2nd driver and saw it worked better, then I uninstalled the 1st epson driver. Helped allow for 8.5 x 14 page size and high quality. Just a few options needed that were not showing on the original print driver. Took me a few days to figure out what was going on. It helped with the quality of the prints after I got the better driver. So the end product is better also.

Prints great, wifi was an issue
Style: Printer & Inks
Got the printer a week ago and have printed something every day so far and the quality of the prints have been fantastic. Arrived and set up without any major issues, other than not being able to connect to my local wifi. Had to get an Ethernet cable to connect to it.
