His entire archive was twice destroyed by the French colonial forces, but despite financial difficulties (he was hopelessly generous) and the vicissitudes of wars and revolutions, Charlot (often compared to the legendary bookseller Sylvia Beach) carried forward Les Vraies Richesses as a cultural hub of Algiers.Our Riches interweaves Charlot's story with that of another twenty-year-old, Ryad (dispatched in 2017 to empty the old shop and repaint it). Ryad's no booklover, but old Abdallah, the bookshop's self-appointed, nearly illiterate guardian, opens the young man's mind. Cutting brilliantly from Charlot to Ryad, from the 1930s to current times, from WWII to the bloody 1961 Free Algeria demonstrations in Paris, Adimi delicately packs a monumental history of intense political drama into her swift and poignant novel. But most of all, it's a hymn to the book and to the love of books.

Bought this to separate a ground level living area used as an office. Works well to cover visual clutter; allows a clean look when entering the front door. Comes fully assembled. Hinges are sturdy enough, as long as the panels aren’t stretched too far; have to allow some bend between them. For the price point, quality and functionality are satisfactory.

Great Divider, Just Needed Anchoring for Outdoor Use

This room divider is very nice—stylish, lightweight, and easy to set up. I’m using it outdoors, which may not be its intended use, and I found that wind can knock it over pretty easily. Once I anchored it down, though, it worked just fine and looks great in the space. Indoors, I imagine it would be perfect right out of the box. Overall, a solid purchase with just one small adjustment needed for my setup.

Deck privacy! I wanted a way to add some privacy to my second floor townhome deck. It’s been holding up well and doesn’t look junky! I used zip ties on one end so I can open and close it as I wish.
