This signed and dated 1907 oil on canvas by Gustav Waldemar Leufstedt (1867–1909) represents a refined example of early 20th century Swedish-American landscape painting.

Born in Sweden, Leufstedt immigrated to the United States in 1891 and settled in Chicago, where he studied at the Chicago Theological Seminary, graduating in 1898. After serving Swedish congregations in New Jersey, he relocated to Colorado around 1900 for health reasons and remained there until his death in Denver in 1909.

Though trained for the ministry, Leufstedt’s surviving works reveal a disciplined academic sensibility rooted in European landscape traditions. The present composition demonstrates a confident understanding of atmospheric depth and tonal harmony consistent with late 19th century Scandinavian and German-influenced naturalism.

A cascading waterfall forms the compositional anchor, flowing into a serene river bordered by slender birch trees and softly rising terrain. The distant horizon is illuminated with a restrained sunset palette, creating atmospheric perspective and quiet luminosity. The controlled brushwork in the treatment of water and foliage reveals a mature hand and sensitivity to light.

Signed lower left “G.W. Leufstedt” and dated 1907.

Presented in a substantial gilt frame which has been repainted in gold at a later date.

Smell expensive, you deserve it.
My wife bought me some Cremo body wash a year ago, bourbon and vanilla. It smelled great. Only drawback was the smell didn't stick around on my skin. Then 2 weeks ago she brought home the Distiller's blend Smooth and Oaky. I used it and it the smell last almost a full 24 hrs, depending on what my activity level is. Now, since the Smooth and oaky has been discontinued we buy the Palo Santo scent. Both smell terrific and last awhile. Bought the package deal fir my son. It came with Shampoo+conditioner, body wash and antiperspirant deodorant. My son said the deodorant it absolutely the best and last throughout his work shift. Take your pick, you'll smell terrific and your wife will definitely think so as well.

Body wash is great … the packaging, not so much
The scent of the body wash is fantastic, exactly what I was expecting as hoping for. For packaging, however, needs improvement. As other reviewers have noted, my bottle leaked in transport. Cremo needs to up their game, perhaps cellowraping the product to alleviate this issue. One star off because of this problem.

A great clean feeling and moisturizing product! Cremo is the best!
I love Cremo body washes because they smell phenomenal and are moisturizing. I have been stopped many times and asked what cologne I had on because the scent stays strong for hours. Strong but not overbearing. I always proudly tell them it's Cremo. This was a new scent to me, but after being a lover of Palo Santo and especially Distillers Blend I wanted to try it.
