Côte 228 is a well-balanced wine with rich oak aged character. This complex wine shows generous fruit aromas such as crisp pears and a mineral finish. A classic Burgundian style French Chardonnay which will pair beautifully 
with seared scallops or a duck terrine. 

 

Over the years vineyards, and the plots within them, change. It’s nature’s way of keeping us interested. What doesn’t change is that certain piece of every plot that always gives you what you expect. The finest wine from the finest grapes. That’s the piece of land the Le Côte range comes from. The number, 228, represents the average altitude of the particular plot this wine comes from. The grapes are harvested at night and fermented at a low temperature. This seems to bring out the best in them. Some of these grapes are aged in barrels before they are all blended back together. It’s an unusual method but from the unusual comes the exceptional.
