The Tamron SP 15–30mm f/2.8 Di VC USD is a full-frame ultra-wide-angle zoom lens with a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture optimized for Nikon F-mount DSLR systems. Optical design comprises 18 elements in 13 groups, incorporating specialized glass and advanced anti-reflection coatings to control aberrations and maintain resolution across the zoom range. The lens provides a diagonal angle of view from ~110° at 15 mm to ~71° at 30 mm, suitable for landscapes, architecture, interiors, and environmental imagery.
Autofocus uses an Ultrasonic Silent Drive (USD) motor for fast, precise focusing with full-time manual override. The optical system includes VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization (effective across the zoom range) to support handheld shooting in varied light conditions.
The lens maintains a minimum focus distance of ~0.28 m throughout the zoom range, yielding a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5. Aperture control is handled by a 9-blade diaphragm designed for smooth out-of-focus highlights, and minimum aperture reaches f/22.
Mechanically, the barrel integrates an internal zoom and focus mechanism with an integrated petal-shaped hood. Physical attributes include a ~98.4 mm maximum diameter, a ~142.5 mm length on Nikon, and a ~1100 g weight. Moisture-resistant construction and fluorine-coated front element support reliability in challenging environments.
This combination of wide coverage, fast aperture, stabilization, and robust build positions the lens as a capable ultra-wide zoom for high-resolution full-frame imaging.

I love the Coola brand, and this product does not disappoint. The scent is tropical and not fake-smelling, and I love that the coverage is a wide, fine mist. Because of the way it sprays, I don't have to spend extra time rubbing the product into my skin. I do wish it was cheaper, but it helps protect my skin from burning and it doesn't irritate my skin. Highly recommend!
