The GD30CE from Takamine is a full-sized dreadnought acoustic/electric guitar made from spruce and mahogany with a black high-gloss finish. The single-cutaway body delivers a rich, resonant sound with a strong low end and plenty of volume. Unplugged or amplified, the instrument is well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band.

The GD30CE is constructed with a solid spruce top, and mahogany back and sides. Its mahogany neck includes a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius, while the soft Venetian-style cutaway body allows easy accessibility to the higher frets. Additional features include a pin-less rosewood bridge, a rosewood headcap, a synthetic bone nut and split bridge saddle, a pearloid rosette and fingerboard dot inlays, and chrome die-cast tuners. For electronics, the guitar is equipped with a Takamine TP-4TD preamp system, which includes a built-in tuner, a 3-band EQ, and a gain adjustment knob, giving the player better control of the guitar's tone during live performance.

Asymmetrical Neck
The neck profile of a Takamine guitar is offset—like an asymmetrical letter “C”—slightly thinner on the bass side, so that it fits the natural shape of your hand. This improves playability by reducing the distance the wrist must move when the thumb is moved toward the first string, resulting in a comfortable feel and a more enjoyable playing experience
