Melanopsin is the photopigment present in the ganglion cells of the retina responsible for light transmission. They are more sensitive to blue light and are thought to play a role in the onset of migraine. By effectively and precisely filtering the right wavelengths, a lens can inhibit the brain's chemical behaviour and provide effective relief for the wearer.
