We continue our series focusing on the great arrangers and conductors of the pre- and post-war eras with an anthology devoted to the work of Gordon Jenkins, a fine pianist and composer as well as a noted arranger, who is especially associated with lush string arrangements which accompanied some of the great singers of the time. This great value 87-track 4-CD set comprises examples of his work from a period of over a quarter of a century spanning WWII, featuring recordings made with a host of top flight male and female vocalists during his long tenures as house arranger for Capitol and Decca, as well as his performances of the several orchestral suites which he composed and recorded under his own name over the years. Included are recordings by artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Dick Haymes, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole, Judy Garland, The Weavers, Marlene Dietrich, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Ethel Merman, Danny Kaye, Burl Ives and many more, so it provides a fascinating trawl across the spectrum of popular music as well as an insight into the techniques and talents of one of the industry's hugely talented backroom boys. Love my Yamahas
Set name: 5.1 Receiver
RX 385 replaces my much-loved 10 year old RX 375, which I inadvertently fried while experimenting.
The 385 has some newer features, including bluetooth. The old model and this both use the handy YPAO function to tune the audio speakers' depth of field to the listening environment. It's a broadcast mic that you just plug into the front of the receiver for a few seconds to determine each speakers' distance from viewer. Kind of a sonic echo measurement of seating to speaker. It's a foolproof, remarkably clever, timesaving gizmo. The YPAO mic is absolutely included with this unit, looks like a little plastic cone.
Also important to me, Yamaha has replaced the old spring clips for rear/side speakers, which are now the better screw and cap posts, as they have always been for the two front speakers.
I recommend rocketfish HDMI 4k/8k cables to connect this receiver to your tv and to whatever other components you want, such as a bluray. Sound quality is excellent if your speakers are good. (I like KEFs.)
Of course you may prefer wireless speakers, but I'm already committed to wired ones. I used rocktfish banana plugs to connect my speaker wires to the RX 385 receiver's speaker posts. Neat and clean.
With a choice of 2 front, 2 rear, 1 center speaker, plus one coaxial plug in for a subwoofer, your movies and programs are going to sound far more detailed and staged than you'd get from the tv or a sound bar. It's a more immersive and compelling experience. (I use only 2 fronts and 2 rears and don't feel I'm missing anything.)
Yamaha receivers and other components are my favorites: relatively inexpensive, well designed, solidly built, and not fussy to install. If you find yourself in a pickle there are a couple of helpful youtube videos.
I find with the RX385 again that Yamaha does not disappoint me.

Outstand Product!! 😉

This is my second (at least) Nilight wiring harness. I wanted to re-do the lights on my Rhino 660. This makes it SO EASY! 👍🏼😉 And a hell-of-a-deal!! All I had to get was a "reamer" drill bit to enlarge the switch holes on my dash. Run the wire, attach the ends to the light, switch & power source, all done. I did add "shrink tubing" to my connections to add an extra layer of insulation/weatherproofing. 👍🏼

Definitely a good buy very professional craftsmanship

As a retired master technician for Honda and all makes and models of automobiles this harness is a cut above the others is put together immaculately and anyone that can put a wire through the firewall I purchased my light bar to harbor freight 22 in great lighting but their harness kit was 56 bucks I paid under 24 this and it looked identical except the switch on this is actually much more appealing cosmetically and works well functionally just had to drill a hole in one of the blanks 4 switches in my truck made it fit perfect and has worked flawlessly since I put it in a couple weeks agodefinitely do your homework sometimes I find great deals at harbor freight that nobody can touch on Amazon but then other times vice versa Amazon has a great product at a great price compared to harbor freight in other retailers

Perfect for roof LED light bar
Color: 14AWG-1 Lead
This worked great for wiring a 50" LED light bar to the roof of my SUV. This kit conveniently includes a relay, switch with backlight, and fuses.
I used a step bit to drill the pilot hole for the switch and worked my way up until it was the right size. I zip tied the excess wire and it made for a clean install. My only complaint is that the ring terminals were too large for the battery but it was easy to crimp smaller ones on.
