　　本書作者是英國知名童書作家，97年獲頒英國官佐勳章（Officer of Order，簡稱OBE）。當他看到兩歲兒子對廣告中的小翻頁著迷時，他決定融合自己對狗的熱愛，開始動手創作，1980年所創作的《小波在哪裡？》，迄今發行遍及全球一百多國，被譯成六十幾種語言，印刷量超過四千萬冊，是一本適合幼兒閱讀的經典作品。這本書的出現，也開啟了翻翻書的全新世紀，從此之後，這種翻頁的玩具書，如潮水般的出現在世界各地的童書市場。
